Kim – Windy Senior Portraits – Astoria Riverwalk

With graduation quickly approaching for all the 2017 seniors, it’s a good reminder of how fast time flies. I decided today to take a step back and blog about one of last years senior sessions (since it doesn’t feel like it was that long ago). Of course that’s an another example of how your senior year flies by. After it it all happens, then you can look back and reflect on it. Your senior portraits will always be a great reminder of who you were.

Kim’s session took place on the Astoria Riverwalk. The weather was typical Astoria – overcast, rainy and windy. It was pouring rain like crazy right before the session, but then it stopped (almost on request). I love it when things like that happen.

The wind did continue which gave Kim the constant challenge of pushing her hair back after a gust.
We started off using a couple of urbanish walls for backgrounds, then worked our way toward the Megler Bridge.

I know Kim was pleased with the resulting photos considering the battle with the wind at times.

On this photo, I snapped it right when a wind gust blew and the result was pretty awesome. So in hindsight, the wind wasn’t all bad.
