I like to suggest to high school seniors when they are preparing for their photo session to think about bringing props and accessories that reflect a part of them. In addition to showing more about what the seniors are into, it also helps adds variety to the pictures. So what are good things to bring to your senior photo session? Besides items like sports uniforms and musical instruments, here are some items to think about.

HATS

Hats are a great way of adding a layer of detail to your outfit. If you are into hats, then bring them with you. They can be used in cool ways to bring extra focus to your eyes and face. It’s also a good idea to know if the yearbook doesn’t allow hats in submitted photos, so plan on not using your hat in all of the photos.

BOOKS

Do you have a favorite book or are you an avid reader? Books can make great props, adding a layer of detail about you.

DEVICES

If you are constantly in contact with a laptop / tablet / phone / headphones, then it can be fun to create a few photos based around those devices. It’s just another way to showcase you, and it can be a fun way to look back on yourself.
