Another Way the Background in Your Photos Can Make a Difference

A very different way of looking at backgrounds (for photos) is when they are out of focus. Why does it matter and should you care?

The answer to both questions is yes, when related to portrait backgrounds in photos. It’s also important to consider how one location can produce many different looks. This isn’t your job to figure it out, it’s mine. So don’t worry, I’ve got you covered.

In this post I’m showing how the background focus can change how different the background can look. This result is simply from the lens and settings used on the camera. This is very different from the newest portrait mode on iPhones (which creates a blurry background using software). Take a look at some of these great backgrounds around Astoria and Warrenton.
